The pack. Every one of us has a story.

The Sunday afternoon

In 2021 my dog hurt herself on a Sunday afternoon. Not bad enough for emergency - but she clearly needed a vet. I sat on the couch with her in my lap and started ringing clinics.

Some didn't answer. Some answered but couldn't see her. Some had websites with outdated hours. By 4pm I'd called nine places and got nowhere.

Earlier that month, when I had a sore throat, I'd opened HealthEngine on my phone, picked a GP, and booked an appointment in 30 seconds. For my dog, there was no equivalent. Just clinics, phones, and a Sunday afternoon disappearing.

I started looking around. Surely someone was building this. They weren't. So I waited. A year passed. Then another. Then another. And eventually I gave up waiting.

In 2024 I started building Pet Health Hub on nights and weekends. In 2025 I went full-time. In 2026, it's live.

Four years later, it's live.

Pet Health Hub was built in Australia by a pet owner who could not book a vet on a Sunday. Today it is a pet care marketplace, a free Lost Pet Register and free QR pet ID tags.

Why this matters

Pet care is a $33B industry in Australia. 6.9 million households have a pet. And yet the act of actually finding and booking pet care is broken - fragmented across thousands of websites, old-fashioned phone systems, and hand-written appointment books.

Human healthcare has HealthEngine. Pet healthcare needed the same. Pet Health Hub is that - built Australia-first, with community at the centre.

Two things we promise: pet owners use the app for free, forever. And the Lost Pet Register is free for everyone - no sign-up to search, no fees, no upsell.

The roadmap

Ziggy heads up nap duty and quality control. The rest of the team is hiring.

Native iOS & Android

Web app today. Native apps next, for the moments your phone is in your hand.

AU, then NZ, then UK

Australia first. Once we've nailed it here, we head south, then north.
